Sibenoxolo Foji is a third year Fine Art student currently enrolled at the University of the Free State, originally from a small town in the Eastern Cape. He is researching and working with the broad concept of Animism which is the attribution of a life force to inanimate objects and natural phenomena. In his research with installation, printmaking, drawing, and photography, he weaves a narrative of life and death that he regards as a continual transition from one manifestation to another.
He has been part of two exhibitions and has had the opportunity to be part of the insider outsider – Learning from Richmond art residency in 2020 which was a collaboration between South African and Swiss artists.
